From School to School: Autumn in the schools of Sindhuli District

This is more of the news we received from Sindhuli District

We celebrated children's day in Nepal, with the children of Janajyoti School, Hakpara:

We did a spoon race with the children of grade 3.

Likewise, with grade 1, we played arranging the alphabets in order,

with grade 2, putting the thread in needles,

and grade 4: a memory game.

We gave sessions to students of grade 8, 9 and 10 in three different schools, about the impact of pesticides and chemical fertilizers on people and on the environment, about the importance of traditional local agriculture and the nutritional benefits of local foods.

And we discussed these issues with the parents of Bishnu School and Janakalyan school, Bagmati as well.

We managed to give life skills training to students who were above 14 or about to reach 14.
Students from Hakpara are pointing out the problems faced by adolescents.

One of the students of Tankeshwor School, Karaoke, is giving a presentation on physical changes that occur in females during adolescence.  

 

 
The video shows the division game given at the introduction of the life skill session where we also discussed child marriage, consent, good touch, bad touch and menstruation.

We held an integrated learning exchange programme with 11 different schools in Sindhuli District in which we are working now. There, we discussed how teachers have implemented what they learned in our training, such as teaching techniques, completing children evaluation forms and being aware of the importance of good education.
