BIKAS is the Nepalese word for development, progress.
It is also the name of our Belgian development organization that focuses exclusively on Nepal, with a large project operation. Another unique aspect is that BIKAS is a sympathizer organization of a thousand people, many of whom have already visited the project country.
BIKAS has been working for the development of Nepal for almost 30 years. Before that there were several small personal initiatives to support Nepal. In 1988 it was decided to join forces in order to do development cooperation on a larger scale and in a more efficient manner.
